Garage Floor Coating
Garage floor coating puts a thick, flake-filled layer over the slab that stands up to brine, hot tires and dropped tools.
View Garage Floor CoatingFood processing flooring is a seamless, heat-tolerant surface built for hot washdowns, sanitizers and constant moisture, pitched to the drains and coved up the walls.
Agri-food is a big part of the Guelph economy, with close to 1,500 businesses in the sector. We install food processing flooring for breweries, dairies, meat and poultry plants, bakeries, commercial kitchens and packaging rooms around Guelph and Wellington County.
Hot water and sudden temperature changes are what a food plant floor faces every shift. Ordinary epoxy starts to soften around 60°C, and a floor rinsed with near-boiling water day after day can crack and lose its bond. Urethane cement handles steam cleaning, boiling spills and cold rooms without breaking down.
Most of the food processing flooring we lay is urethane cement, trowelled thick with a textured face. Dry areas such as ingredient storage and packing can use a high-build epoxy instead.
Water that pools on a flat floor sits against the drain body and creeps under the coating at the rim. We pitch the slab toward each drain and seal the joint between the drain and the new surface.
A coved base runs up every wall as well. It takes away the square corner where floor meets wall, one of the hardest spots in any plant to keep clean.
Food plants seldom close, so the work is planned around sanitation shifts and scheduled shutdowns. Urethane cement can take foot traffic within a day, and we can finish one room at a time. The dry production side of the same building is covered on the industrial epoxy flooring page.
Food processing flooring costs more than standard epoxy because of its thickness and material. Your estimate breaks the price down room by room.

Lots of projects pair two of these, like a garage up top and the basement under the house.
